The George West Longhorns basketball team (George West, TX), was overwhelmed 92-14 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Aransas Pass Panthers (Aransas Pass, TX)
The Panthers now possess a 16-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Goliad for a 3A Region IV District 29 battle on Friday, January 13. Aransas Pass will confront a Tigers team coming off a 45-28 league win over Mathis (Mathis, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 14-10.
The Longhorns (13-12) will now prepare for their battle against Taft (Taft, TX). The Greyhounds come into the 3A Region IV District 29 battle with a 5-21 record. In their last battle, Taft was overwhelmed by Odem (Odem, TX), 36-34, in a league battle.
