Calaveras Redhawks (San Andreas, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Argonaut Mustangs (Jackson, CA), 41-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Calaveras upgrades its record to 15-5 on the season. The Redhawks host Amador (Sutter Creek, CA) to clash with the Buffaloes in a Mother Lode League bout on Friday, January 13. The Buffaloes go into the bout with a record of 8-9. Amador won 34-11 in their recent league bout against Summerville (Tuolumne, CA)

Next up, the Mustangs clash with the Sonora Wildcats (Sonora, CA) in a Mother Lode League bout, on Friday, January 13. Argonaut will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 12-6 record after their 42-26 league win over Bret Harte (Angels Camp, CA).
