Atkinson County Rebels (Pearson, GA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lanier County Bulldogs (Lakeland, GA), 64-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Atkinson County upgrades its record to 3-13 on the campaign. The Rebels host Clinch County (Homerville, GA) to play the Panthers in a A D2 Region 2 bout on Friday, January 13. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 11-0. Clinch County won 65-23 in their recent league bout against Echols County (Statenville, GA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Charlton County Indians (Folkston, GA) in a A D2 Region 2 bout, on Saturday, January 14. Lanier County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-13 season record. The Indians come into the bout with a 5-9 record after their 67-27 league loss to Turner County (Ashburn, GA).
