In Tuesday's non-league match, the visiting Avon Park Red Devils basketball team scored a tight 65-58 triumph over the Lake Wales Highlanders.

In their next game, the Red Devils meet the DeSoto County Bulldogs (Arcadia, FL) in a 4A District 11 match, on Thursday, January 12. Avon Park will attempt to better on its 9-4 season record. The Bulldogs enter the match with a 10-4 record after their 63-48 non-league loss to Lemon Bay (Englewood, FL).
