Manvel Mavericks (Manvel, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Ball Tornadoes (Galveston, TX), 52-29 in a league bout.
With the victory, Manvel upgrades its record to 20-7 on the campaign. The Mavericks travel to Angleton (Angleton, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 5A Region III District 18 bout on Friday, January 13. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 9-13. Angleton lost 50-45 in their recent league bout against Texas City (Texas City, TX)
Next up, the Tornadoes play the La Porte Bulldogs (La Porte, TX) in a 5A Region III District 18 bout, on Friday, January 13. Ball will attempt to upgrade on its 7-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 18-8 record after their 31-30 league loss to Manvel (Manvel, TX).
