Bettye Davis East Anchorage Thunderbirds (Anchorage, AK) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Eagle River Wolves (Eagle River, AK), 33-17 in a league bout.

With the win, Bettye Davis East Anchorage upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Thunderbirds travel to Palmer (Palmer, AK) to clash with the Moose in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Moose go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Palmer lost 65-31 in their recent non-league bout against Tikigaq (Point Hope, AK)

Next up, the Wolves clash with the South Anchorage Wolverines (Anchorage, AK) in a 4A Cook Inlet bout, on Friday, January 13. Eagle River will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Wolverines go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 59-31 league loss to Monroe Catholic (Fairbanks, AK).
