Bishop McNamara Fightin' Irish (Kankakee, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Chicago Christian Knights (Palos Heights, IL), 59-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Bishop McNamara upgrades its record to 9-11 on the campaign. The Fightin' Irish host Ridgewood (Norridge, IL) to play the Rebels in a Metro Suburban bout on Thursday, January 12. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 6-10. Ridgewood lost 40-39 in their recent league bout against Westmont (Westmont, IL)

Next up, the Knights play the Elmwood Park Tigers (Elmwood Park, IL) in a Metro Suburban bout, on Friday, January 13. Chicago Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 7-12 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 52-23 league loss to Wheaton Academy (West Chicago, IL).
