Iowa High School Basketball - Boone ripped by North Polk

The North Polk Comets basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Boone Toreadors to 18 in the Comets league triumph on Tuesday.
The Comets now sport a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Carlisle for a Raccoon River contest on Friday, January 13. North Polk will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 51-35 league win over Gilbert (Gilbert, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 10-2.
The Toreadors (3-8) will now prepare for their contest against Denison-Schleswig (Denison, IA). The Monarchs enter the non-league contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Denison-Schleswig was routed by East Sac County (Lake View, IA), 59-58, in a non-league contest.
