Meyer Ravens (Waco, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Bruceville-Eddy Eagles (Eddy, TX), 41-38 in a league bout.

With the victory, Meyer upgrades its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Ravens travel to Chilton (Chilton, TX) to play the Pirates in a 2A Region III District 17 bout on Friday, January 13. The Pirates come into the bout with a record of 0-12. Chilton lost 55-24 in their recent league bout against Bruceville-Eddy (Eddy, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Crawford Pirates (Crawford, TX) in a 2A Region III District 17 bout, on Friday, January 13. Bruceville-Eddy will attempt to upgrade on its 16-10 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 35-29 league win over Moody (Moody, TX).
