In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Mount St. Dominic Academy Lions (Caldwell, NJ) basketball squad nipped the visiting Caldwell Chiefs (West Caldwell, NJ), by a margin of 53-46.

The Lions (3-5) will now prepare for their outing against West Orange (West Orange, NJ). The Mountaineers go into the non-league outing with a 5-4 record. In their last outing, West Orange got by East Orange Campus (East Orange, NJ), 53-19, in a league outing.

The Chiefs now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they travel to Livingston for a Super Essex - Colonial outing on Saturday, January 14. Caldwell will clash with a Lancers squad coming off a 27-18 non-league loss to Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NJ). The Lancers record now stands at 1-7.
