The Carthage Comets basketball team (Carthage, NY), was overwhelmed 56-31 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Mexico Tigers (Mexico, NY)

The Tigers now possess a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Phoenix for a battle on Friday, January 13. Mexico will confront a Firebirds team coming off a 48-32 league loss to Skaneateles (Skaneateles, NY). The Firebirds record now stands at 5-3.

The Comets (0-12) will now prepare for their battle against East Syracuse-Minoa (East Syracuse, NY). The Spartans come into the non-league battle with a 5-4 record.
