The Garrison Troopers basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Central McLean [Turtle Lake-Mercer/Underwood/McClusky] Cougars to 49 in the Troopers league triumph on Tuesday.
The Troopers now sport a 6-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kenmare/Bowbells for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 12. Garrison will meet a team coming off a 65-32 non-league win over Velva (Velva, ND). The record now stands at 6-0.
The Cougars (6-1) will now prepare for their contest against New Salem (New Salem, ND). The Holsteins enter the B Region 5 contest with a 1-8 record. In their last contest, New Salem was defeated by Killdeer (Killdeer, ND), 46-41, in a non-league contest.
