In Tuesday's league outing, the Sonoraville Phoenix (Calhoun, GA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Central Lions (Carrollton, GA), by a margin of 62-19.
The Phoenix (15-2) will now prepare for their outing against Cedartown (Cedartown, GA). The Bulldogs go into the AAAA Region 7 outing with a 0-12 record. In their last outing, Cedartown was trounced by Heritage (Ringgold, GA), 65-10, in a league outing.
The Lions now own a 7-7 record. They play next when they travel to Southeast Whitfield County for a AAAA Region 7 outing on Friday, January 13. Central will clash with a Raiders squad coming off a 55-25 league loss to Northwest Whitfield (Tunnel Hill, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 2-9.
