Texline Tornadoes (Texline, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Channing Eagles (Channing, TX), 2-0 in a league bout.

With the win, Texline upgrades its record to 7-10 on the season. The Tornadoes host Pringle-Morse (Morse, TX) to clash with the Cougars in a 1A Region I District 3 bout on Friday, January 13. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 7-12. Pringle-Morse lost 57-36 in their recent league bout against Hartley (Hartley, TX)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Wildorado Mustangs (Wildorado, TX) in a 1A Region I District 3 bout, on Friday, January 13. Channing will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 8-10 record after their 53-21 league win over Adrian (Adrian, TX).
