The Field Kindley Golden Tornado basketball team (Coffeyville, KS), was nudged 38-32 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Chanute Blue Comets (Chanute, KS)
The Blue Comets now sport a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Independence for a non-league battle on Friday, January 13. Chanute will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 55-45 non-league loss to Parsons (Parsons, KS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 7-1.
The Golden Tornado (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Fort Scott (Fort Scott, KS). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 8-0 record. In their last battle, Fort Scott edged Pittsburg (Pittsburg, KS), 52-16, in a non-league battle.
