The South Anchorage Wolverines basketball team (Anchorage, AK), was nudged 44-39 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Chugiak Mustangs (Chugiak, AK)
The Mustangs now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Thunder Mountain for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 11. Chugiak will battle a Falcons team coming off a 43-40 league loss to Ketchikan (Ketchikan, AK). The Falcons record now stands at 8-1.
The Wolverines (0-4) will now prepare for their battle against Monroe Catholic (Fairbanks, AK). The Rams come into the 3A Aurora battle with a 4-1 record. In their last battle, Monroe Catholic edged Lathrop (Fairbanks, AK), 43-29, in a non-league battle.
