The Cindy Avitia Jaguars basketball team (San Jose, CA), was overwhelmed 57-16 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Cristo Rey Lions (San Jose, CA)

The Lions now possess a 12-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host University Prep Academy for a Private School - South battle on Friday, January 13. Cristo Rey will battle a Golden Eagles team coming off a 30-18 non-league win over Eastside College Prep (East Palo Alto, CA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 5-6.

The Jaguars (2-6) will now prepare for their battle against Luis Valdez Leadership Academy (San Jose, CA). The Lions come into the Private School - South battle with a 3-7 record. In their last battle, Luis Valdez Leadership Academy was overwhelmed by Cristo Rey (San Jose, CA), 55-15, in a league battle.
