The Riverbend Bears basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Colonial Forge Eagles to 45 in the Bears league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bears now sport a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Stafford for a Commonwealth contest on Friday, January 13. Riverbend will meet a Indians team coming off a 82-7 league loss to Massaponax (Spotsylvania, VA). The Indians record now stands at 0-6.
The Eagles (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Wakefield (Arlington, VA). The Warriors enter the District 5 contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Wakefield ran past Washington-Liberty (Arlington, VA), 61-47, in a league contest.
