With the victory, Columbia improves its record to 11-7 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Poplarville (Poplarville, MS) to confront the Hornets in a 4A Region 7 challenge on Friday, January 13. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Tornadoes confront the Forrest County Agricultural Aggies (Brooklyn, MS) in a 4A Region 7 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Purvis will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record.
