The Corbett Cardinals (Corbett, OR) basketball crushed the host Rainier Columbians (Rainier, OR), 67-31 in Tuesday's league test.
The Cardinals (11-3) will now prepare for their test against Yamhill-Carlton (Yamhill, OR). The Tigers go into the 3A Coastal Range test with a 3-6 record. In their last test, Yamhill-Carlton walloped Warrenton (Warrenton, OR), 53-18, in a league test.
The Columbians now own a 4-8 record. They play next when they host Banks for a 3A Coastal Range test on Thursday, January 12. Rainier will encounter a Braves squad coming off a 59-32 league win over Neah-Kah-Nie (Rockaway Beach, OR). The Braves record now stands at 14-0.
