Twin Valley Panthers (Pilgrims Knob, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Council Cobras (Council, VA), 57-24 in a league bout.

With the win, Twin Valley upgrades its record to 6-5 on the season. The Panthers host Phelps (Phelps, KY) to clash with the Hornets in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 12. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Phelps won 51-41 in their recent non-league bout against East Ridge (Lick Creek, KY)

Next up, the Cobras clash with the Honaker Tigers (Honaker, VA) in a Black Diamond bout, on Friday, January 13. Council will attempt to upgrade on its 2-9 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 10-3 record after their 50-46 non-league win over Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA).
