Del Valle Conquistadores (El Paso, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Parkland Matadors (El Paso, TX), 52-20 in a league bout.

With the win, Del Valle upgrades its record to 7-11 on the season. The Conquistadores travel to Hanks (El Paso, TX) to play the Knights in a 5A Region I District 2 bout on Friday, January 13. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 9-8. Hanks won 47-13 in their recent league bout against Horizon (El Paso, TX)

Next up, the Matadors play the Bel Air Highlanders (El Paso, TX) in a 5A Region I District 2 bout, on Friday, January 13. Parkland will attempt to upgrade on its 4-22 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 14-6 record after their 57-37 league win over Ysleta (El Paso, TX).
