Wisdom Pioneers (St. Agatha, ME) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host East Grand Vikings (Dansforth, ME), 56-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Wisdom upgrades its record to 8-0 on the season. The Pioneers host Easton (Easton, ME) to play the Bears in a D North bout on Thursday, January 12. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 2-8. Easton lost 50-34 in their recent league bout against Ashland (Ashland, ME)

Next up, the Vikings play the Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME) in a D North bout, on Thursday, January 12. East Grand will attempt to upgrade on its 4-3 season record. The Cougars go into the bout with a 4-5 record after their 60-37 non-league loss to Hodgdon (Hodgdon, ME).
