With the victory, Eastland upgrades its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Freeport (Freeport, IL) to play the Pretzels in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 14. The Pretzels come into the challenge with a record of 5-15.

Next up, the Cardinals play the Milledgeville Missiles (Milledgeville, IL) in a Northwest Upstate Illini - South challenge, on Thursday, January 12. Forreston will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record. The Missiles come into the challenge with a 1-10 record after their 59-15 league loss to Eastland (Lanark, IL).
