The Freedom Patriots topped the visiting South Caldwell Spartans basketball team by a final score of 50-36 in Tuesday's league game.

In their next game, the Patriots face the Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 52 game, on Thursday, January 12. Freedom will attempt to move on its 10-5 season record. The Huskies enter the game with a 10-4 record after their 66-65 league loss to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC).

With the defeat, South Caldwell moves to 9-7 on the year. The Spartans host Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to face the Cougars in a 3A/4A Conference 52 game on Thursday, January 12.
