Mississippi High School Basketball - Laurel thwarted by Hattiesburg

The Laurel Golden Tornadoes basketball team (Laurel, MS), was toppled 56-44 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Hattiesburg Tigers (Hattiesburg, MS)

The Tigers now possess a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wayne County for a 5A Region 6 battle on Friday, January 13. Hattiesburg will confront a War Eagles team coming off a 58-51 league loss to Laurel (Laurel, MS). The War Eagles record now stands at 2-4.

The Golden Tornadoes (11-4) will now prepare for their battle against South Jones (Ellisville, MS). The Braves come into the 5A Region 6 battle with a 4-6 record.
