In Tuesday's league outing, the Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC) basketball squad edged the host Rosewood Eagles (Goldsboro, NC), by a count of 22-20.
The Wildcats (1-9) will now prepare for their outing against Neuse Charter (Smithfield, NC). The Cougars go into the 1A Conference 10 outing with a 8-7 record. In their last outing, Neuse Charter was tipped by North Duplin (Calypso, NC), 55-33, in a league outing.
The Eagles now hold a 0-11 record. They play next when they travel to C.B. Aycock for a non-league outing on Wednesday, January 11. Rosewood will clash with a Golden Falcons squad coming off a 52-51 league loss to West Johnston (Benson, NC). The Golden Falcons record now stands at 7-4.
