Tennessee High School Basketball - Hughes overwhelmed by Perry County

The Perry County Vikings basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the host Hughes Lions to 25 in the Vikings league victory on Tuesday.

The Vikings now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Carroll for a 1A District 12 contest on Friday, January 13. Perry County will battle a War Eagles team coming off a 44-40 league loss to Clarksburg (Clarksburg, TN). The War Eagles record now stands at 5-4.

The Lions (0-8) will now prepare for their contest against Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central (Bruceton, TN). The Tigers come into the 1A District 12 contest with a 4-10 record. In their last contest, Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central triumphed over Carroll Academy (Huntingdon, TN), 59-20, in a non-league contest.
