Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls (Point Pleasant Beach, NJ) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Keansburg Titans (Keansburg, NJ), 42-36 in a league bout.

With the victory, Point Pleasant Beach upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Garnet Gulls travel to Liberty (Jackson, NJ) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 1-6. Liberty lost 53-41 in their recent league bout against Donovan Catholic (Toms River, NJ)

Next up, the Titans play the Academy for Urban Leadership Charter Jaguars (Perth Amboy, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. Keansburg will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Jaguars come into the bout with a 0-6 record after their 35-6 non-league loss to Henry Hudson (Highlands, NJ).
