Sweetwater Mustangs (Sweetwater, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Lake View Chiefs (San Angelo, TX), 53-23 in a league bout.

With the win, Sweetwater upgrades its record to 12-13 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Levelland (Levelland, TX) to clash with the Lobos in a 4A Region I District 5 bout on Friday, January 13. The Lobos go into the bout with a record of 12-2. Levelland won 50-40 in their recent league bout against Snyder (Snyder, TX)

Next up, the Chiefs clash with the Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX) in a 4A Region I District 5 bout, on Friday, January 13. Lake View will attempt to upgrade on its 2-18 season record. The Matadors go into the bout with a 15-9 record after their 66-24 league win over Big Spring (Big Spring, TX).
