Texas High School Basketball - Zavalla thwarts Leggett

The Zavalla Eagles (Zavalla, TX) basketball knocked off the host Leggett Pirates (Leggett, TX), 57-40 in Tuesday's league test.

The Eagles (6-6) will now prepare for their test against High Island (High Island, TX). The Cardinals go into the 1A Region IV District 28 test with a 6-6 record.

The Pirates now own a 6-14 record. They play next when they travel to Brookeland for a 1A Region IV District 28 test on Friday, January 13. Leggett will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 66-42 league win over Chester (Chester, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 19-5.
