The Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Lumberton Raiders to 37 in the Bears league triumph on Tuesday.

The Bears now sport a 20-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jasper for a 4A Region III District 19 contest on Saturday, January 14. Little Cypress-Mauriceville will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 80-51 league loss to Silsbee (Silsbee, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 12-7.

The Raiders (9-14) will now prepare for their contest against Bridge City (Bridge City, TX). The Cardinals enter the 4A Region III District 19 contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Bridge City was outscored by Vidor (Vidor, TX), 40-24, in a league contest.
