The Mattoon Greenwave basketball team (Mattoon, IL), was nudged 47-41 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs (Mahomet, IL)
The Bulldogs now sport a 17-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sacred Heart-Griffin for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 12. Mahomet-Seymour will battle a Cyclones team coming off a 43-35 league win over Normal University (Normal, IL). The Cyclones record now stands at 14-5.
The Greenwave (9-10) will now prepare for their battle against MacArthur (Decatur, IL). The Generals come into the non-league battle with a 10-11 record. In their last battle, MacArthur was nudged by Glenwood (Chatham, IL), 51-50, in a league battle.
