In Tuesday's league outing, the Marian Catholic (Tamaqua, PA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Nativity BVM Green Wave (Pottsville, PA), by a count of 86-24.

The (9-1) will now prepare for their outing against Minersville (Minersville, PA). The Battlin' Miners go into the non-league outing with a 4-1 record. In their last outing, Minersville smashed South Williamsport (South Williamsport, PA), 39-37, in a non-league outing.

The Green Wave now hold a 5-4 record. They play next when they host Williams Valley for a Schuylkill County 2 outing on Friday, January 13. Nativity BVM will clash with a Vikings squad coming off a 32-24 league loss to Our Lady of Lourdes Regional (Coal Township, PA). The Vikings record now stands at 2-5.
