The Paraclete Spirits (Lancaster, CA) basketball nipped the visiting St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy Warriors (Downey, CA), 45-39 in Tuesday's league test.

The Spirits (5-9) will now prepare for their test against Bishop Conaty-Loretto (Los Angeles, CA). The Wildcats go into the Santa Fe test with a 8-12 record. In their last test, Bishop Conaty-Loretto got by St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Downey, CA), 60-15, in a league test.

The Warriors now own a 3-16 record. They play next when they travel to Bishop Conaty-Loretto for a Santa Fe test on Thursday, January 12. St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 38-28 league loss to Saint Joseph (Lakewood, CA). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-12.
