Rock Creek Mustangs (St. George, KS) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Rossville Bulldogs (Rossville, KS), 55-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rock Creek upgrades its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Wabaunsee (Alma, KS) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Chargers come into the bout with a record of 1-5. Wabaunsee lost 82-13 in their recent non-league bout against Silver Lake (Silver Lake, KS)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Valley Heights Mustangs (Blue Rapids, KS) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 12. Rossville will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record. The Mustangs come into the bout with a 4-4 record after their 42-41 non-league loss to Minneapolis (Minneapolis, KS).
