Shanley Deacons (Fargo, ND) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Valley City Hi-Liners (Valley City, ND), 55-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Shanley upgrades its record to 4-3 on the season. The Deacons travel to Grand Forks Central (Grand Forks, ND) to clash with the Knights in a A East bout on Saturday, January 14. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 1-6. Grand Forks Central lost 75-48 in their recent league bout against Sheyenne (West Fargo, ND)

Next up, the Hi-Liners clash with the Fargo Davies Eagles (Fargo, ND) in a A East bout, on Thursday, January 26. Valley City will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record.
