Payette Pirates (Payette, ID) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host McCall-Donnelly Vandals (McCall, ID), 29-22 in a league bout.

With the victory, Payette upgrades its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Fruitland (Fruitland, ID) to play the Grizzlies in a bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Grizzlies come into the bout with a record of 4-8.

Next up, the Vandals play the Fruitland Grizzlies (Fruitland, ID) in a bout, on Friday, January 13. McCall-Donnelly will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record.
