In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA) basketball squad edged the host Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA), by a margin of 39-35.
The Eagles (6-3) will now prepare for their outing against Byrd (Vinton, VA). The Terriers go into the non-league outing with a 8-0 record. In their last outing, Byrd held off Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA), 30-26, in a non-league outing.
The Colonels now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Staunton River for a non-league outing on Wednesday, January 11. Fleming will clash with a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 31-14 non-league loss to Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 0-4.
