The Tuscola Mountaineers basketball team scored 41 points and held the visiting Smoky Mountain Mustangs to 37 in the Mountaineers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mountaineers now sport a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Henderson for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 12. Tuscola will meet a Falcons team coming off a 29-21 league loss to Franklin (Franklin, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 6-4.

The Mustangs (7-5) will now prepare for their contest against East Henderson (East Flat Rock, NC). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record.
