North Carolina High School Basketball - Bandys nudges Newton-Conover

Bandys Trojans (Catawba, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC), 53-52 in a league bout.

With the win, Bandys upgrades its record to 9-3 on the season. The Trojans travel to West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 5-2. West Caldwell won 41-39 in their recent non-league bout against West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC)

Next up, the Red Devils clash with the Bunker Hill Bears (Claremont, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 13. Newton-Conover will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 34-24 non-league win over Maiden (Maiden, NC).
