The Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) basketball nipped the host James River Knights (Buchanan, VA), 2-0 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Cavaliers (2-5) will now prepare for their test against Alleghany (Covington, VA). The Mountaineers go into the non-league test with a 7-2 record.
The Knights now own a 1-11 record. They play next when they host Radford for a non-league test on Thursday, January 12. James River will encounter a Bobcats squad coming off a 50-42 non-league win over Floyd County (Floyd, VA). The Bobcats record now stands at 4-4.
