The Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA) basketball knocked off the visiting Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA), 41-24 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Colonels (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Staunton River (Moneta, VA). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league test with a 1-7 record. In their last test, Staunton River went down by Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA), 44-39, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to Patrick Henry for a non-league test on Thursday, January 12. Franklin County will encounter a Patriots squad coming off a 53-20 non-league win over Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA). The Patriots record now stands at 7-0.
