The Grayson County Blue Devils basketball team (Independence, VA), was toppled 44-28 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host George Wythe Maroons (Wytheville, VA)
The Maroons now possess a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fort Chiswell for a non-league battle on Friday, January 13. George Wythe will confront a Pioneers team coming off a 55-51 non-league win over Bland County (Rocky Gap, VA). The Pioneers record now stands at 6-4.
The Blue Devils (1-5) will now prepare for their battle against Alleghany (Covington, VA). The Mountaineers come into the non-league battle with a 7-2 record. In their last battle, Alleghany was toppled by Glenvar (Salem, VA), 43-41, in a non-league battle.
