Musselman Applemen (Inwood, WV) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV), 57-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Musselman upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Applemen travel to Sherando (Stephens City, VA) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 25. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 4-4.

Next up, the Cougars play the Washington Patriots (Charles Town, WV) in a bout, on Friday, January 13. Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 1-0 record after their 90-31 non-league win over Harding (Bridgeport, CT).
