The Palmetto Tigers basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the host Lakewood Ranch Mustangs to 48 in the Tigers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Tigers now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sarasota for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 14. Palmetto will battle a Sailors team coming off a 51-50 non-league loss to Venice (Venice, FL). The Sailors record now stands at 13-4.
The Mustangs (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Southeast (Bradenton, FL). The Seminoles come into the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Southeast prevailed over Lakewood Ranch (Bradenton, FL), 66-58, in a non-league contest.
