North Carolina High School Basketball - Union overwhelmed by Lakewood

The Union Spartans basketball team (Rose Hill, NC), was overwhelmed 57-7 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Lakewood Leopards (Roseboro, NC)

The Leopards now possess a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Duplin for a non-league battle on Friday, January 13. Lakewood will confront a Rebels team coming off a 44-33 non-league win over Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC). The Rebels record now stands at 11-1.

The Spartans (0-6) will now prepare for their battle against Rosewood (Goldsboro, NC). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 0-5 record. In their last battle, Rosewood was overwhelmed by C.B. Aycock (Pikeville, NC), 49-29, in a non-league battle.
