Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Ledford Panthers (Thomasville, NC), 67-58 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Montgomery Central upgrades its record to 7-4 on the season. The Timberwolves travel to Union Pines (Cameron, NC) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 11. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 5-8. Union Pines lost 55-40 in their recent non-league bout against Hoke County (Raeford, NC)

Next up, the Panthers play the Randleman Tigers (Randleman, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Ledford will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 76-47 non-league win over Providence Grove (Franklinville, NC).
