Abingdon Falcons (Abingdon, VA) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Honaker Tigers (Honaker, VA), 62-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Abingdon upgrades its record to 7-7 on the season. The Falcons host Ridgeview (Clintwood, VA) to play the Wolfpack in a Mountain bout on Friday, January 12. The Wolfpack go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Ridgeview lost 71-34 in their recent league bout against Gate City (Gate City, VA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Patrick Henry Rebels (Glade Spring, VA) in a Hogoheegee bout, on Friday, January 12. Honaker will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Rebels go into the bout with a 11-3 record after their 55-49 league win over Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA).
