The Ambridge Bridgers basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Blackhawk Cougars to 60 in the Bridgers league triumph on Wednesday.

The Bridgers now sport a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Beaver for a WPIAL 4A 2 contest on Friday, January 12. Ambridge will meet a Bobcats team coming off a 75-56 league win over Blackhawk (Beaver Falls, PA). The Bobcats record now stands at 7-5.

Next up, the Cougars play the North Catholic Trojans (Cranberry Township, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 2 bout, on Friday, January 12. Blackhawk will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Trojans come into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 73-65 league win over Central Valley (Monaca, PA).
